OVERVIEW

Makeup by Mary is a makeup-focused social media account that promotes professional makeup services offered by Mary Principato. The clients are individuals interested in having their makeup done, whether it's for an event, a date night, a photoshoot, a wedding, or any other formal occasion. Engaged with a diverse audience passionate about beauty, spanning ages from 15 to 60. While the majority of the clients are women, they also welcome men who have an interest in makeup .

CHALLENGE

The brand's primary objective is to expand its client base and broaden the exposure of Makeup By Mary to a wider audience. The goal of this project is to engage both existing and potential clients, fostering trust in the business and seizing new opportunities to compete effectively in the beauty industry. The overarching aim is to convey the idea of a welcoming, judgment-free environment that caters to individuals' desires to feel beautiful in their own skin. This project focuses on creating something fresh and original to make the makeup business easily recognizable. Utilizing Mary Principato's own images on her Instagram account, it showcases her diverse range of makeup skills and looks, establishing a strong and self-branded presence.

SOLUTION

The brand required a new and original visual identity to further promote its business and reach new clients seeking makeup services. In terms of advertising, the makeup business needed a clean, elegant, and welcoming logo design to ensure easy recognition. Additionally, print collateral such as business cards, direct mail flyers, and signage were essential. Digital media played a significant role in this effort, including updating Makeup by Mary’s existing Instagram and TikTok accounts, showcasing a wide range of achievable makeup looks and featuring animated social media posts. Since a majority of their audience uses social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok, promotional posts were essential to capture their attention.
